from kozhikode city towards northeast it is a gateway connnectivly
most popular tourist destinations in the country including wayanad
Overview
The place connects to other parts of the state through vatakara town on the west and thottilpalam town on the east . the nearst airports are at kannur and kozhikode.
The existing road passing through heavily built up areas of kuttiyadi town due to long queue of the vechicle waiting at the traffic signal durning peak hours. Since up gradution of this road to two lone configuration would result in high cost of acquistion and also the rehabilitation and resettlement for the project would affect the residents,a bypass for the intersection town was the most viable solution to arrest this menace
Hence this two lane bypass of length 1.462km and row of 12m is recommended for kuttiyadi town starting near kuttiyadi bridge passing through agricultaral field and residentle plots on western side of kuttiyadi town and ending a kodaikkachal both in the longested kuttiyadi town

Govt. of Kerala has assigned RBDCK with the task of implementing kuttiyadi bypass which is a KIIFB funded Project.
